The Michael Beaney Prize was established in January 2021 in recognition of the outstanding work of Michael Beaney as editor of the British Journal for the History of Philosophy between 2011 and 2020. The Beaney Prize is funded by the British Society for the History of Philosophy and awards £1,000 for the best paper in a given year that contributes to a broader conception of the philosophical canon. All accepted research papers to the Journal in 2021 will automatically be considered.
